Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman, leading buyer, restorer and seller of low mile, excellent condition Grand Wagoneers presents this most handsome original factory Hunter Green 1991 Final Edition with under 92,000 original and all southern miles.

In many of our Wagoneer purchases we discover a deep emotional attachment between the owner and their beloved “Waggy”. Few of our past acquisitions surpass the love and devotion that unfolds in the story of this Final Edition 1991 Hunter Green Grand Wagoneer. The owner purchased the Wagoneer as a 60th birthday present for his wife in 1991, the final year of the Grand Wagoneer’s production. I’m sure we don’t have to remind our fellow Wagoneer enthusiasts that 1991 had the smallest number of Grand Wagoneer’s produced, making them the most rare of model years. Only a tiny number of those were finished in Hunter Green Metallic making them one of the most desirable collector vehicles and as rare as that three legged Buffalo nickel. Throughout the years the devoted couple enjoyed cruising around their Florida destinations and the Wagoneer always drew a crowd of admirers. A lifetime history in the Sunshine State guarantees that this vehicle has never been exposed to harsh winter weather conditions.

With the original owner’s passing this Wagoneer was destined to remain in the family and his daughter became the recipient of the vehicle and continued to add more memories over the next decade. Here is a one family owned Grand Wagoneer, and over nearly 30 years less than 92,000 miles driven -averaging slightly above 3,000 miles per year. Over the last few years the family had discussed parting with their Wagoneer but “letting go” was not in the cards until now. It was beginning to need some refreshing-the paint was showing some fading (the downside of the wonderful Florida sun), the interior needed some attention and normal mechanical maintenance was ever present. With that in mind they reached out to us and we were honored to acquire the Wagoneer and restore it to it’s original splendor. A true single- family owned 1991 Hunter Green Grand Wagoneer that has spent its entire life in Florida and with very low mileage. A collector gem that is destined to become part of the next owners treasured family memories.

The Carfax confirms the one family lifetime ownership (until our purchase), the low miles being original, no accidents ever reported against her, and 29 year Florida registration history.

Some cosmetic highlights of our restoration works include:

  • Full professional repaint in the factory original Hunter Green Metallic
  • New Wood Trim
  • New Wood Siding
  • New Windshield
  • New window wipes & replacement of exterior chrome flexible pieces
  • New white wall tires wrapping professionally refinished wheels
  • New floor carpeting & custom Grand Wagoneer floor mats
  • The seats are wearing all new fabric inserts and the surrounding leather portion of seats re-coated along with the steering wheel and the dashboard
  • New headliner

Our mechanical & electrical sorting is as comprehensive as our cosmetic works. Indeed, we spend as much time and efforts on the engine, transmission and electrical components of our Wagoneers as we do all the exterior/interior cosmetic components. You might think it is notably off key for a specialist like ourselves to comment that in some ways, these Jeeps were terrible even when they were new, but that is indeed true when we discuss the factory original carburetors that Jeep fitted on these Grands. The Grand Wagoneers were the last American vehicles made with carburetors because by 1991, all other makers had already figured out how troublesome the carburetors were, compared to modern fuel injection. Because of that, we have upgraded and updated this Final Edition with MODERN FUEL INJECTION.

Why buy from a Grand Wagoneer specialist? For us the answer is simple- our entire focus is on Grand Wagoneers and we know these unique vehicles inside and out. When you purchase a Classic Gentleman Wagoneer it has been thoroughly inspected and all necessary work completed by professional mechanics, some with over forty years of Wagaoneer experience. We purchase fine example Jeeps from a variety of sources including other dealers and private parties. We are often told by the seller, “My Jeep is excellent and needs nothing” however, being in this profession, we know to expect and plan for a great deal of sorting.

Remember the average age of these vehicles is thirty years more or less, and even with loving care many mechanical parts have aged and worn accordingly. Purchase a Wagoneer from a source other than a specialist and odds are that you may experience servicing and repair costs that may dampen your joy and enthusiasm for that Wagoneer that you always wanted. You may only own one of these in your lifetime, while we buy, fully sort and sell dozens and dozens per year. That is a lot of practice and when a Classic Gentleman Grand Wagoneer arrives at your home, it is a special occasion. It will be in beautiful condition and ready to drive and enjoy. Yes, our sales are as-is, but as you will see from our detailed service invoices, she has been looked after from nose to tail. Our goal is to see that the joy and enthusiasm of Grand Wagoneer ownership begins immediately with your purchase and that it will be there for years to come.

Be sure to have a look at our website’s recommendation page where you can see first hand the positive experiences of a worldwide assortment of named buyers. We deal honestly and work hard to insure a happy buyer. You will never be pressured or chased for a sale but given all the time needed to insure if a purchase is right for you. Guided by these principals, our modestly sized niche dealership has built a loyal and devoted customer base spanning 5 continents.
