She was a quality Wagonmaster restoration just 20,000 miles ago and was again restored by us in 2017. We sold her as a summer vacation home ride to a Chicago executive and his wife. Unfortunately for them, their busy lifestyles have limited time at the summer residence and as such, the Grand traveled under 300 miles since our extensive restoration. She was always garage kept of course and likewise kept under protective cover. She has returned back to us in search of her next happy home. The Carfax confirms the low 71,600 miles listed as original (that is an average of only 2000 miles per year!!) and no accidents ever reported. Even better, apart from 1 year a lifetime ago in New York State, she has always been in the gentle winter southern, desert and Northwest states, along with the last 3 years along the Great Lakes at the summer home of the past owner. Because of that, her undercarriage is in strong condition.
The Hunter Green paint is striking and is the highlight of this ’86. Our professional color conversion process is detailed on the restoration tab of our website for you to closely review. Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman is known for our beautiful Hunter Greens and this one is another stand out. The wood siding and wood trim were installed at the time of painting and as you can see, it is the way the wood stands out with the Hunter Green that makes this color so ever popular. A new windshield was also fitted along with whitewall tires when we completed the restoration. Those wheels themselves were restored during the Wagonmasters prior restoration and remain in very good condition. The balance of exterior chrome and aluminum pieces, including the bumpers, front grill, door handles, side mirrors and luggage rack, while not new still present in beautiful condition with only light wear and aging present.
The honey leather interior continues this excellent classic Grand’s presentation. Again, just like the exterior wood, these honey interiors look their best when inside a Hunter Green Grand Wagoneer. We installed new carpeting on the cabin floor, along with the cargo area floor, sides and interior tailgate areas. Custom floor mats are also included to protect the carpet. The door panels, dashboard and right up to the headliner all still show in strong form. The working interior options include power windows, power door locks, power seats, cruise control and power mirrors. Let us not forget the all important and very rare SUNROOF, opening and closing just as it should.. The heater is running well and a good deal of monies were spent to insure strong, cold air conditioning. An ALPINE stereo with Bluetooth and Sirius XM capability is also a recent improvement.
A good deal of money has also been spent looking after the v8 engine/transmission and electricals. They all been inspected and works sorted, where deemed needed. That includes both the 4 wheel High and 4 wheel Low settings.
