Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman, Internationally recognized as a leading buyer and seller of low mile excellent condition Grand Wagoneers, presents another low mile beautiful vintage Grand in stunning Midnight Blue Metallic. Just a 2 owner for the first 24 years Florida car along with a 3 year Tennessee registration. No tough winters for this southern belle.
The pricing model for Grand Wagoneers has been climbing steadily for years now and recently, accelerating. The market value for individual pieces revolve heavily around three areas. Firstly low mileage , secondly condition and thirdly, the right color. When we find a Grand Wagoneer that ticks off all the right boxes, like this one, we make the acquisition and spend the time and treasure to bring them up to Classic Gentleman standards.
The Midnight Blue Metallic paint is in excellent condition, redone by her former Florida owner and still presenting handsomely.. The buyer’s popular prejudice, in the traditional Grand Wagoneer world, runs so heavily in favor of the color blue that their inventory turn rate is 3 times quicker than most other colors. The way the blue works against the wood siding and sand color interior, blends naturally into a vintage Wagoneer look. That classic wood siding, sourced from Team Grand Wagoneer, was just applied, bordered with the original wood trim. That original wood trim isn’t in as new condition but still reflects just low mile usage and wear. Many collectors value keeping the original factory trim in place, with it’s factory peg holes and wood grain look, that are not found in modern replacement trim. For that reason, we try to keep it, when we can. The original wheels and caps appear to have been refinished in the recent past and are fantastic. The bumpers, grill & other exterior chrome bits, exhibit just low mile, snow free, wear and remain in very good condition. The vintage white wall tires were fitted under 5,000 miles ago.
The cabin is finished in the popular Sand color and is in handsome form. .The leather seats, carpeting, door panels, and dashboard, are all in very good condition with just the lightest of wear and ageing. (One minor exception includes a small stain spot in carpet of the cargo area. The good news is, like all cargo area sins, this one is easily covered by the cargo mat). That overhead console temperature and compass readouts are active. Likewise, the power seats, power door locks, power windows and power mirrors are all working properly. Same goes for the heat and air conditioning and even the cruise control. The AM/FM/Cassette player sound great.
The engine, transmission and the 4 wheel High and Low settings have all been serviced and are performing just as they should. Take a close look at those engine images, that is the cleanest engine bay and motor presentation of any Grand in our inventory. The mechanics on this one have been looked after religiously over the years. Our precisely detailed garage service invoices covering all the mechanical and electrical works that were organized and sorted here are available, via email scan, to interested parties. We don’t spend monies on the appearances of undercarriages as most all of our buyers are planning on driving and enjoying these Grands regularly. Normal wear, aging and surface rust will be present and all classics will pass stringent New York State inspection guidelines. Still, this one being a all southern, snow free piece, wears one very solid undercarriage.
Carfax & Autocheck both confirm the low miles are actual. This one has traveled a remarkably low, under 3,000 miles per year. Both Carfax & Autocheck also show no accidents ever reported along with just a couple owners, all in the sunny south.
