Internationally recognized as a leading buyer, restorer and seller of low mile, excellent condition Grand Wagoneers, we present this rare, 1991 Final Edition. With only 1560 Final Edition 1991 models ever produced, they are all rare, of course. Add to that the highly prized color, “Bright White”, with the most sought after interior color choice of Sand, along with low miles of just 102,889… this one won’t be with us for long. PLUS… PLUS… PLUS… All but 1,000 of those miles were accumulated in the beautiful road salt free states of Nevada and California. (And even the odd thousand miles in Wisconsin were spread out over 3 years of summer only usage). This Grand’s undercarriage, like the rest of her, is in solid condition.
We just applied that Bright White exterior paint and as you can witness, it is a great look on these Wagoneers. The Team Grand Wagoneer wood siding you see is brand new and affixed at the same time as the painting. We were able to preserve the original factory wood trim on this one, with its cool pegged look, as it remains in very good condition. The front grill frame is likewise new, as are the whitewall tires. The original wheels, bumpers and remaining exterior chrome bits exhibit just normal low mile wear and ageing and all still present nicely.
That universally sought after Sand color interior is in excellent shape. We fitted new carpeting on all the floors, both cabin and cargo area, along with replacing and carpeting the cargo area side boards and interior tailgate carpet. The leather seating has been re-dyed and we installed a new headliner. The luxury interior appointments you will find in working order include a new AM/FM/CD player, air conditioning, power windows, power seats, power door locks, power mirrors and even the overhead console’s outside temperature and compass readout are in working order. Just the cruise control, which was designed by one of Satan’s familiars back in ’91, isn’t working and the tailgate wiper operates on the wash function only.
The engine/transmission/electricals have all been inspected and works sorted, where deemed needed. The 4 wheel Hi & Low settings are likewise both performing well. Yes, our sales are all as is but we are highly skilled specialists in the Grand Wagoneer field and our expertise shows in pieces like this one. Our highly detailed document files covering the cosmetic and mechanical restoration works that were organized and sorted here are available to be email scanned to interested parties. .
Carfax & Autocheck both show this Grand has had no accidents reported and the miles showing are original/actual miles. Plus, as mentioned previously, these reports likewise confirm she was a California and Nevada Grand, for all but 1,000 miles of her life.
Just a couple months prior to this writing, I sold this rare Final Edition to a good friend of mine who enjoys classic cars and SUVs, amassing his own private collection of over 30 vintage pieces. He purchased this as a surprise birthday gift for his just of driving age son. Whilst the Grand didn’t disappoint in any way, some other family members (read here the “domestic opposition”) thought a modern car with airbags, anti lock brakes and back up cameras is more suitable for a young lad instead of something that handles like a tuna boat. Therefore, after adding just 2 miles on the odometer, she has rejoined our Grand Wagoner collection here… We have likewise added just a few additional test miles ourselves.
Why buy from a Grand Wagoneer specialist? For us the answer is simple- our entire focus is on Grand Wagoneers and we know these unique vehicles inside and out. When you purchase a Classic Gentleman Wagoneer it has been thoroughly inspected and all necessary work completed by professional mechanics, some with over forty years of Wagaoneer experience. We purchase fine example Jeeps from a variety of sources including other dealers and private parties. We are often told by the seller, “My Jeep is excellent and needs nothing” however, being in this profession, we know to expect and plan for a great deal of sorting. Our average service bills per unit range from $4000 to $12,000 and these costs do not include cosmetic restoration to the exterior/interior. A far reach from needing nothing. Remember the average age of these vehicles is thirty years more or less, and even with loving care many mechanical parts have aged and worn accordingly. Purchase a Wagoneer from a source other than a specialist and odds are that you may experience servicing and repair costs that may dampen your joy and enthusiasm for that Wagoneer that you always wanted. You may only own one of these in your lifetime, while we buy, fully sort and sell dozens and dozens per year. That is a lot of practice and when a Classic Gentleman Grand Wagoneer arrives at your home, it is a special occasion. It will be in beautiful condition and ready to drive and enjoy. Yes, our sales are as-is, but as you will see from our detailed service invoices, she has been looked after from nose to tail. Our goal is to see that the joy and enthusiasm of Grand Wagoneer ownership begins immediately with your purchase and that it will be there for years to come.
