Grand Wagoneer by Classic Gentleman, leading buyer, restorer and seller of low mile, excellent condition Grand Wagoneers happily presents this just completed 1991 Spinnaker Blue Metallic Final Edition.

We always have a buyer segment that looks for Final Edition pieces solely but because only several thousand were produced, the lowest production year of all Grand Wagoneers, there are not many out there. Fewer still with low original miles and not exposed to road salt. The universe for these is very very limited and getting more compact with each passing year.

Add to that this 1991 Final Edition has been professionally color converted into the rarely seen Spinnaker Blue Metallic finish. The factory only produced a tiny, truthfully microscopic number of Spinnaker Blue Metallic Grands in their final year so your choice is to find one of those or find a professional restoration house that knows how to color convert one properly. Finding either is about as common as finding Dukes and Earls in America. See our website Restoration Page for more details of our extensive color conversion process. The Carfax confirms the 113,950 miles are original (That is under 4,000 miles per year), no accidents ever reported against her and her first 20 + years of road salt free Oregon & California registry. After being out west for almost all but a handful of miles she became an executive’s summer ride in the Finger Lake region of Upstate NY. Because of that happy circumstance, her frame and undercarriage is solid and strong.

Back to the exterior of our carriage. The Spinnaker Blue paint has just been applied and looks brilliant. Of note with this Grand, we were able to keep the factory original exterior wood trim, as it remains in very good condition. This happy circumstance occurs in just 1/10th of our inventory, if that, and is always a sure sign the Grand has lived a sheltered life and has been looked after well over the decades. The vinyl sticker wood siding has just been fitted inside the original trim. We installed new window wipes all around after the paint work was completed, along with new rubber door gaskets. The wheels have just been refinished and they are wrapped with new whitewall tires. The balance of the exterior chrome and aluminum pieces, – the bumpers, center wheel caps, luggage rack, door handles, front grill frame and other aluminum/chrome exterior trim, whilst not new (because new replacements are no longer being produced so they cannot be obtained ), still present in very good condition with just light wear/ marks present.

The Sand color interior has just had new carpeting installed across all the floor areas along with the cargo area sides and inner tailgate. Just the carpeting on the seat backs and lower interior door panels, where the carpet receives no wear, is original. We have also included Grand Wagoneer custom floor mats to protect your new carpet. The leather portion of the seats have all been recoated along with the steering wheel and dashboard. Above it all, a new headliner was fitted. The interior appointments include 6 way power driver’s and front passengers seat, power side mirrors, power windows, power door locks, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, factory air conditioning right down to the factory original AM/FM/Cassette stereo.

Our mechanical & electrical sorting is as comprehensive as our cosmetic works. Indeed, we spend as much time and efforts on the engine, transmission and electrical components of our Wagoneers as we do all the exterior/interior cosmetic components. You might think it is notably off key for a specialist like ourselves to comment that in some ways, these Jeeps were terrible even when they were new, but that is indeed true when we discuss the factory original carburetors that Jeep fitted on these Grands. The Grand Wagoneers were the last American vehicles made with carburetors because by 1991, all other makers had already figured out how troublesome the carburetors were, compared to modern fuel injection. Because of that, this Grands 360ci V8 engine has been upgraded and updated with MODERN FUEL INJECTION.

We likewise sort a number of wearable mechanical and electrical components and replace them, including, for example…. the battery, starter, alternator, heater blower motor, rear brakes & brake springs, front brake pads, rear main seal, steering shock, reseal front and rear differentials, full air conditioner service…all the way back to a new muffler and tailpipe. The 4 wheel drive, both High & Low settings, are likewise ready for any beach or snowy mountain.

Why buy from a Grand Wagoneer specialist? For us the answer is simple- our entire focus is on Grand Wagoneers and we know these unique vehicles inside and out. When you purchase a Classic Gentleman Wagoneer it has been thoroughly inspected and all necessary work completed by professional mechanics, some with over forty years of Wagoneer experience. We purchase fine example Jeeps from a variety of sources including other dealers and private parties. We are often told by the seller, “My Jeep is excellent and needs nothing” however, being in this profession, we know to expect and plan for a great deal of sorting.

Remember the average age of these vehicles is thirty years more or less, and even with loving care many mechanical parts have aged and worn accordingly. Purchase a Wagoneer from a source other than a specialist and odds are that you may experience servicing and repair costs that may dampen your joy and enthusiasm for that Wagoneer that you always wanted. You may only own one of these in your lifetime, while we buy, fully sort and sell dozens and dozens per year. That is a lot of practice and when a Classic Gentleman Grand Wagoneer arrives at your home, it is a special occasion. It will be in beautiful condition and ready to drive and enjoy. Yes, our sales are as-is, and a vintage car will always require more service, maintenance and patience than a modern car but, as you will see, she has been looked after from nose to tail. Our goal is to see that the joy and enthusiasm of Grand Wagoneer ownership begins immediately with your purchase and that it will be there for years to come.

Be sure to have a look at our website’s recommendation page where you can see first hand the positive experiences of a worldwide assortment of named buyers. We deal honestly and work hard to insure a happy buyer. You will never be pressured or chased for a sale but given all the time needed to insure if a purchase is right for you. Guided by these principals, our modestly sized niche dealership has built a loyal and devoted customer base spanning 5 continents.
